Privacy Policy
BiLingo (com.dmonly.app) · Last updated 23 October 2026
This policy explains what information the BiLingo app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
If you create an account, we collect your name and email address, or the basic profile information Google provides when you choose “Sign in with Google”. Accounts are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are used only to sign you in.
Information stored on your device
Your name, chosen topics, quiz progress, theme and notification settings, and the words you have seen are stored locally on your phone. They are not sent to us.
Advertising
BiLingo shows ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device’s advertising ID, IP address, and general device and usage information to show ads, measure them, and prevent fraud. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings at any time. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Notifications and background activity
With your permission, BiLingo runs a background service that detects when your screen turns on or you unlock your phone, so it can show a word notification. It does not read your screen, messages or other apps.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase (sign-in)
- Google AdMob (ads)
Data retention and deletion
Data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. To delete your account and its sign-in data, email us at the address below and we will delete it within 30 days.
Children
BiLingo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
